UCI’s Pushcart prize-winning journal. Faultline publishes new poetry, fiction, and artwork in an annual spring issue, and features the work of emerging and established writers from the U.S. and abroad.

The Association of Writers & Writing Programs

The mission of The Association of Writers & Writing Programs is to foster literary talent & achievement, to advance the art of writing as essential to a good education, & to serve the makers, teachers, students, & readers of contemporary writing.


International Institute of Modern Letters

The International Institute of Modern Letters (IIML) is a nonprofit literary activist organization committed to supporting both established and emerging writers worldwide and to helping persecuted writers prevail against literary censorship. 


Academy of American Poets

Essays and interviews about poetry, poet biographies, over 1700 poems, and audio clips of one hundred poems read by their authors or other poets. This website also contains information about the Academy and its programs, including the National Poetry Map and calendar.


The Poetry Society

A membership organization offering readings, award competitions, events and publications to promote a national poetry renaissance. The Society is a partner, with the University of Boston, in the Favorite Poem Project initiated by Robert Pinsky.


Modern American Poetry

An exhaustive archive of Modern American poetry, criticism and associated artifacts such as illustrations, book covers, historical research, PLUS an ongoing journal of new criticism written by and for students and instructors. MAPS provides a single clearinghouse for some of the best criticism on the best poets of our time.


Readings
Casa Romantica

Organized by UCI MFA Alumni and local accomplished writers, the Casa Romantic Reading Series offers monthly poetry readings at the elegant and magnificently restored Casa Romantica in downtown San Juan Capistrano. The Series features acclaimed writers including faculty at UCI. 


UCI MFA Reading Series

Each year, UCI MFA students read their works in progress at free venues throughout the Orange County and L.A. area.
